Over the last three or four decades an enormous amount of research and development work has gone into harnessing, for commercial applications, a laboratory 'phenomenon' whereby it is possible to affect the ability of calcite crystals and colloids in water to form a solid deposit - i.e. 'scale' - by means of passing an electrical or magnetic force through the water. There are now many products available to the consumer which claim to be able to produce this effect but we have found what we believe is the 'best' - it is called the 'Hydron-Cyklon' and it is made in Switzerland to the very highest specifications for quality and engineering excellence. The Hydron-Cyklon is precision engineered using the latest computerised machines to create a very specific cyclonic flow pattern. It is this precise pattern and the exact placement of a series of magnets at the centre which ensure that the ions contained in the water are influenced several times during their passage through the device.

This is easier to explain with an illustration - so if you wish to see a full size illustration please click on the thumbnail (left). The water is made to flow in a helical pattern around a central core containing a series of magnets placed so that their fields are reversed alternately. The parts needed for the creation of the helical flow pattern and precise placement of the magnets require extremely accurate machines, like the one shown here, to manufacture them.

How is it installed ?

Scale deposition is a serious problem, reducing efficiency, increasing fuel costs and reducing the service life of equipment.

Suprion water conditioners are advanced water treatment devices which have no external power requirement and which use no chemicals, so are environmentally friendly. They will prevent the deposition of calcium scale, magnesium scale and silica scale, as well as preventing ferrous oxide formation. Water having passed through a Suprion conditioner will actually assist in removing existing scale deposits. And by reducing the nutrients associated with certain bacterial organisms, bacterial sliming of certain water systems is also reduced.

The equipment uses a patented and unique system found nowhere else in the world. In this system, static electricity is generated from friction caused by water flowing through a plastic core sleeve within the unit, which is then converged to form a thin electrostatic curtain discharged by combined parallel electrodes. Because the electrodes are isolated from contact with the water, there is no corrosion that can occur inside the unit.

Suprion water conditioners are compact in size, have a smooth bore and no restrictions or protrusions within the inner core, so there is no additional pressure loss. Features include:
